How to Compact the Outlook Express Inbox

With regular usage of Outlook Express, your old emails will begin to build up and clutter your inbox which can create some problems. Some problems that can occur with a massive inbox include;

• Outlook Express running slower
• Increases the space used by Outlook Express files
• Corrupt mail files (very bad)

To solve this problem you must compact all your messages in Outlook Express so that you will decrease the chances of any problem with your inbox. Fixing this problem is very simple and only takes a couple of minutes (depending on inbox size).

• Go to your inbox in Outlook Express
  
• Click on the "File" tab
  
• Open up the "Folder" tab
  
• Click on "Compact all Folders"
  
  

You can also just compact individual folders if you prefer. In the folder tab just select "Compact" and then select the folder you wish to compact. It is recommended that you just select the "Compact all Folders" method.
