Windows 7 Empty Drives

By default Windows 7 is set to hide all the empty drives in Windows Explorer. You might like this feature or you might hate it. Either way, it is very easy to turn this on or off.

To change the default setting and show empty drives from Explorer, just do the following:

1) Open Windows Explorer

2) Click "Organize -> Folder and search options"

3) Click on the "View" tab

4) Uncheck the option "Hide empty drives in the Computer folder"

5) Done! Now your drives are visible.
